all just steps from Dock Square, the heart of this seaside resort village with
its bustling collection of shops, galleries, historic sites, and restaurants.
The owners of the KPI approached Bayleaf Communications, Inc. to build
awareness of the inn and its restaurant, focusing primarily on the northeast
region of the country. For the inn the goal was to promote the various
experiential packages offered during the off-season in order to increase
occupancy and generate greater income during the non-summer months.
Our approach was to target upscale leisure, travel and lifestyle publications
with focused information and story ideas.
For the Port Tavern & Grille, already a favorite of locals year-round, the goal
was to position the restaurant and pub as destinations for visitors. Our strategy
was to get press coverage focusing on the quality of the food and presentation
in non-local markets, particularly in the Boston area. We also helped plan a
series of events aimed at bringing the media and patrons to the venue.
