SoulFire, located in Allston, is a restaurant that defines barbeque in the Northeast. An array of meats such as ribs, pulled pork, briskets, and chicken are dry rubbed with spices and slow cooked using natural wood smoke. SoulFire also offers the customer a variety of sauces, complementing the fact that different regions in the southern U.S. have their own definition of barbeque, which is specific to types of meat and the sauces that they serve.

From the dining room’s firey-red walls to the bar top which shows off an impressive collection of original vintage album covers by soul greats like Sam and Dave, Ray Charles, Curtis Mayfield and James Brown, all of whom you’ll hear pumping out of the speakers any time of day, soul is in the air. An open kitchen shows off a classic black-and-white clad space producing colorful of soul food.

Soul Fire: “Serving all souls” great southern food with urban attitude.
